A Sweater Solution

Hello everyone! I hope you have all been well. I apologize for being a little quiet as life got busy and well, you know how it all goes.

Tis the time of the year for layering and I've been trying to figure out how to wear this boxy waterfall cardigan that I found annoying and frustrating to wear. It would fall off my shoulders, though it is the right size, and I didn't care for how unflattering it was to wear (even though I enjoy most boxy oversized items) over most things.

So, I turned to one of my favorite accessories for help. BELTS! I first tried thicker belts and more decorative belts, but the thin vinyl black belt (that I wear with everything) did the trick. Now with the sweater belted, I love the cascading effect! Though a bit bulky, after arranged it looks quiet lovely and is most importantly.....comfortable.

I have to quick mention this dress that I totally forgot I had bought over the summer. It blended into the wardrobe vortex, but rediscovered to be more appropriate for Autumn/Winter due to the thicker material.

Wearing; dress (Forever 21), sweater (H&M), belt (old, Target), chain necklace (thrifted by friends), bone cross necklace (made by Derek), cross earrings (old, Hot Topic)

Have you ever had an 'a-ha!' styling moment with clothing?

Thank you for reading, until next time!

    1. Thank you! Dress is 'dangerously low' in the front, so I have a bralette so less boobage. LOL!!!

  3. I kinda like it without the belt, but I agree that it looks even better with one.

  5. This is why I like to hold on to clothes that didn't really work out when I first bought them.....you may find a way to make it work later or find out that it goes well with a new piece that you found!
